Asus Zenfone Zoom Mobile
I am not a gadget friendly person but there are some gadgets that I cannot live without in my travels. Like my bulky DSLR which is part of my luggage on every travel of mine. I always wonder if only it could shrink in size but give the same picture clarity and features so that it would be compact and easy to carry.
Asus Zenfone Zoom Mobile
The answer lies in the world’s thinnest 3X optical Zoom, total 12X Zoom with 4GB RAM, Intel PC level performance and 13 MP camera. The best thing about this gadget is its 10P HOYA Lens. I am sure you would have guessed by now that I am referring to the Asus Zenfone Zoom phone with the best camera which comes with another important feature 4 Stops Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It took me sometime to get used to its size as it wouldn’t fit into my jeans pocket, but having said that it sure is not a dampener as its less bulky than the regular DSLR. With a 5.5 inch display screen its easy to navigate through the mobile. With a uni body aluminium frame and chrome accents the gadget has great looks and looks amazing with the premium leather back. With a price tag of Rs 37, 999 it is heavy on ones pocket.

Asus Zenfone Zoom Camera
As a travel blogger one of the key factors in any trip is photography. So I payed special focus towards the camera of this mobile. I tried to use it as much as possible in different modes. Asus Zenfone Zoom camera comes with multiple photography modes to play around. For a novice as well it is of great help and guides you through the entire process of smartphone photography.
Here you can see a picture taken of a wild flower with depth of field option.
The above image was taken in the Pune University campus one evening.
The HDR pictures turned out decent when using this option. The colours were striking but would have loved it if the saturation was toned down when in Auto mode.
I tried my hands on some videos as well. Here you can see a video taken of children practicing skating. This was taken in the slow motion mode, turned out pretty well.
There are some fun options to play with like the Effect mode. I took some pictures in the pencil mode I am sure it would be useful for children in their school projects. Here you can see a building in the pencil effect mode.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom is fun to play around with its camera. I loved its zoom facility with image stabilization. It would have been great to have a wide angle feature but then probably that is asking too much. The Asus Zenfone Zoom is a great phone if you find the DSLR bulky go ahead, leave your camera home and take this phone on your expeditions. You wouldn’t be disappointed.
