AskMe Foodies Meetup at Feast
When I received an invitation from the well known Baap of all Apps Askme.com for a Foodies Meetup I thought why not try out the array of dishes at The Feast a multi-cuisine restaurant in Le Meridien, Pune.
The agenda of the program was an introduction to the askme.com app and a session on Food Photography by Harminder. There was a huge variety of dishes in all courses for an epicurean. Writing 10 restaurant reviews for Askme.com would result in a free meal voucher for two. Also referring foodies would yield bonus vouchers.
It was my first food tasting experience at Fest, Le Meridien, Pune. The chefs introduced themselves and gave a briefing about the restaurant. In the food tasting session I found my plate overflowing with dishes from across the globe. I couldn’t savor all of them but the ones I did were quite delicious.
There was Chicken Sashlik grilled in hot charcoal, Thai Corn Cake, Fatayer meat pie pastries, a hole salt crusted Red Snapper, Sushi followed by a Mexican Counter. I couldn’t stomach the sushi but found the Mexican Counter appetizing. The Chocolate Fountain looked very inviting as the fondue poured down the cascade.
The main course was a mix of various cuisines like Chinese, Italian and French. Chicken and Veg dim sum tasted good with the Hokkien fried noodles.
The dessert section had colorful mousse, pies, cakes, strawberry and blueberry cheesecake, coconut egg custard and lemon meringue tart. All in all it was quite filling and there was something for individuals with different gastronomic interest.
The event came to an end with a round of food related quiz and the winner walked away with a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Also there was a goodie bag for every blogger from Askme.com.
